About Us

Junior DeFreitas, M.D.

Dr. De Freitas’ philosophy is simply put “you first”. He tries to present information in a simplified format for you to understand and encourages questions so that you are fully informed and intimately involved in deciding the best solutions to your health issues.

In describing his “you first” philosophy, Dr. De Freitas explains that he is only the instrument that will help you achieve the best results. He tries to provide the pros and cons of all treatment options and if surgery is recommended, he tries to prepare you mentally for what you can expect during the healing process. Ultimately however you remain in control of your healthcare and he will respect any decision that you make, because it is all about you.

Dr. DeFreitas graduated from Temple medical school in Philadelphia in 1984. He completed his internship at Lankenau Hospital in Philadelphia and subsequently completed a residency in otolaryngology at New York Eye and Ear infirmary. He became a chief resident at New York Eye and Ear where he won the prestigious teaching resident award. He was also given recognition for outstanding work in the temporal bone, (mastoid bone or the bone behind the ear), lab.
